Terms of Use.
Plain language for a small product: what FujiRecipes is, how to use it, how subscriptions work, and the limits we set so the service stays useful for everyone.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and FujiRecipes ("we", "us") covering your use of the FujiRecipes web library at fujirecipes.io and the FujiRecipes iPhone app (together, the "Service"). By reading the site, downloading the app, or generating a recipe, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to read the web library and to install and run the iPhone app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not redistribute the app or its assets, reverse engineer it, decompile it, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent these restrictions are prohibited by applicable law. You may not use the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
The recipes you generate in the app are yours. You may use them on your own camera, share them, screenshot them, or publish them — there is no royalty, attribution requirement, or commercial restriction on the recipes themselves.
You are responsible for the prompts you submit. Don't submit content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates the rights of others. We may rate-limit, throttle, or terminate access for abuse that affects the service for other users.
Recipes are generated by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude) prompted by your input. The model can make mistakes, recommend settings that don't fit your camera, or produce results that don't match your taste. We treat recipes as starting points to be tested in-camera, not as verified settings; you should review each recipe before relying on it for important work.
We don't warrant that any specific recipe will produce a specific result, that recipes are unique, or that the model won't generate similar recipes for other users with similar prompts.
The iPhone app offers a free tier with limited recipe generations per week, and paid auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock unlimited generations and additional features. The length, name, and price of each subscription are shown on the purchase screen inside the app at the time of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the package you selected (or, where applicable, a price disclosed to you in advance).
Managing your subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS) after purchase.
Refunds. Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. We do not directly process payments, and we cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
Changes. We may change prices, change the features included in each tier, or discontinue a tier at any time. Material changes that affect an existing subscription will be disclosed to you in advance, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
The Service depends on external providers (Apple, Cloudflare, Anthropic, weather APIs) and on your device's connectivity. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for outages caused by upstream providers, your network, or your device.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app and, if you have a subscription, turning off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if continued access would harm the Service or other users.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
